Times we need to come inside
Four things to do before the bag goes out
None of them take more than a minute, and together they are the difference between a smooth turnaround and a phone call.
Everything clean and dry
Damp items develop a smell within hours in a sealed bag and cannot go on the board. If something is even slightly damp, hold it back for the next collection.
One bag, not five carriers
A bin bag, laundry bag or plastic tub all work. A single container is much less likely to lose a sock in the boot.
Nothing to count
You do not need to count or list anything. It is all counted here at the board, and you get a call with the price before delivery is arranged.
Anything special flagged
A stubborn stored crease, a delicate blouse, a particular way you like something folded — a scribbled note in the bag is enough.
Please do not send
- Anything damp or unwashed
- Leather, suede or heavily beaded items
- Garments with broken seams
- Items still on the washing line
Anything unsuitable is returned untouched and never charged for.
You do not have to be home for the collection
The overwhelming majority of collections happen without anyone answering the door — most of our customers are at work. Deliveries are the exception: those are arranged around you and handed over in person.
A safe place for collection
Porch, shed, behind the gate, in the recycling box. You name it when you book and that is where the bag is picked up from. Deliveries are handed to you instead.
A neighbour
Plenty of customers leave their bag next door for collection. Give the house number when booking and that is where it is picked up from.
A text either way
You get a message when the bag has been collected, then a call once it is pressed to agree the price and a delivery time that suits you.
Collection bags are never left visible from the street, and no keys, codes or key safes are held for any customer. Finished ironing is never left out at all — it is handed to you in person at a delivery time arranged to suit you.
How your ironing comes back
The delivery matters as much as the pressing. Everything is folded properly, kept flat for the journey, and put straight into your hands rather than left on a step.
