What exactly does the up to 20 items for £15 bundle cover?

Up to twenty everyday garments, counted one for one. A shirt is one item, a pair of trousers is one item, a school polo is one item. The £15 is a flat price for the bundle, so eighteen items and twenty items both cost £15. Once you pass twenty, each additional garment is charged at 50p.

Why is bedding priced separately from the bundle?

A double duvet cover takes roughly the same board time as five or six shirts, so counting it as a single item would not be fair on customers bringing normal clothing. Bedding is therefore charged by the set: £5 for a double or king set and £3 for a single set. A set means the duvet cover and the pillowcases from the same bed. Fitted sheets are not part of the set — they are charged as extra items.

How does the 10% new customer discount work?

It applies automatically to your first order, whatever the size. Just mention it when you book or tick the box on the booking form, and the discount is taken off the total before you pay. It applies to bundles, extra items and bedding sets alike, and there is no minimum spend.

When and how do I pay?

Once your ironing is finished you get a phone call with the price, and delivery is arranged for a time that suits you. Payment is taken on delivery, once you have seen the finished work — cash or a bank transfer on the day are both fine. Business customers on a weekly standing order can be invoiced monthly instead.

No. Collection and delivery are free within five miles, the 24-hour turnaround carries no rush fee, and there is no minimum order or joining charge. The only costs are the ones on the pricing page. If an order needs anything unusual, you will be told the cost before any work starts.

There is no minimum. That said, if you only have a handful of items and you sit right on the outer edge of the area, it is worth a quick call — a very small order that far out occasionally has to wait a day for a collection heading the same way.

Is collection really free?

Yes, on every order to any of the towns listed on the service areas page — Methley and Castleford across to Kippax, Rothwell, Wakefield and Pontefract — plus roughly five miles around them. There is no fuel surcharge and no separate delivery fee. If you sit slightly outside, get in touch anyway: it can often still be arranged when the car is already heading your way.

What if I am at work when you collect?

For collection, most customers leave their bag in an agreed safe place: a porch, a shed, behind a gate or with a neighbour. Just let us know where when you book. Finished ironing is different — it is always handed to you in person and never left outside, so you get a call once it is done to arrange a delivery time that works around you.

How should I pack my ironing?

A black bin bag, a laundry bag or a plastic tub all work perfectly well. Please make sure everything is clean and completely dry — damp items can develop a smell before they reach the board. Everything is counted properly once it reaches the board, and you are called with the price before delivery is arranged.

Do I get a specific collection time?

You are given a one-hour window rather than an exact minute, because traffic and the size of earlier orders both vary. You will get a text when the van is roughly twenty minutes away. If the window turns out not to suit you, it can usually be moved with a quick phone call.

How is my ironing returned?

Clothing is pressed and folded, and bedding is pressed flat and folded for the airing cupboard. Business orders are sorted and labelled by member of staff. Everything is handed to you in person at a delivery time arranged with you — nothing is ever left outside or in a safe place.

Is the 24-hour turnaround guaranteed?

It is the standard for orders collected before around 10am, any day of the week, and it is met the overwhelming majority of the time. Very large orders, bank holidays and the run-up to Christmas are the usual exceptions. If your order cannot make the 24-hour window you will be told at the point of booking, not afterwards.

Sometimes, if it is a small order and the day is not already full. Same-day work is best arranged by phone rather than through the booking form, since it depends entirely on what is already on the board that morning. There is no additional charge for it.

Two or three days is comfortable for a standard household bundle. Collections are booked in to suit you rather than tied to a fixed day, so it is worth ringing even at short notice. For weddings, proms and other fixed events, book a fortnight ahead so the timing can be arranged around the date.

Yes — Chris can be contacted seven days a week, and collections and deliveries run at the weekend as well as through the week. Weekend slots fill quickly, so they are worth booking earlier in the week.

Which fabrics can you handle?

Cotton, linen, polyester blends, viscose, denim and most everyday mixes are all routine. Delicates such as silk, chiffon and heavily embellished pieces are steamed rather than pressed, which relaxes the creases without risking the fibres. Care labels are always followed, and anything unfamiliar gets tested on a hidden seam first.

Is there anything you will not iron?

Leather, suede, heavily beaded garments, items with broken or unstable seams, and anything that arrives damp or soiled. Fancy dress and costume pieces with glued-on decoration are also declined, since the adhesive lifts under heat. If something is unsuitable it is set aside, returned untouched and you are not charged for it.

Do you wash clothes as well?

No — this is an ironing service only, so everything needs to arrive clean and dry. Keeping to ironing alone is what makes the 24-hour turnaround and the pricing possible. If you need washing as well, ask and you will be pointed towards a reputable local launderette.

What happens if something gets damaged?

It is very rare, but you will be told immediately rather than finding out when you unpack the bag. The service carries public liability insurance, and any garment damaged through our error is put right or compensated at a fair replacement value. Pre-existing marks, worn patches and weak seams are pointed out on return.

Can you deal with a stubborn crease in a stored item?

Usually, yes. Long-term fold lines in items that have been packed away respond well to steam and a little patience, though very sharp creases in linen sometimes leave a faint shadow. Flag anything like this when you book so enough time is set aside for it.

Not at all. Plenty of customers book ad hoc whenever the pile gets out of hand. Others prefer a standing weekly or fortnightly slot because it means never having to remember to book. Either is fine, and you can switch between the two whenever you like.

Yes. A quick call or message the day before is ideal, though same-day changes are usually manageable too. There is no cancellation fee. The only real ask is that you let us know rather than leaving a doorstep collection unanswered, since that slot could have gone to someone else.
